Excitement has a different definition.
My host mother finally sent us an email. She sounded nice but used hard German words like tatsächlich. She says I'll spend my first school day with 8th graders with my host sister until the school decides at which grade will I be. I hope I go to the 10th.

I am having a hard time deciding what phone I should take with me, or should I buy one from there? Unfortunately I don't know much about the cell phone systems, contracts or so in Germany.
My family as every exchange student's family are being somehow emotional, especially my mother.
My host brother is going to the US near Baltimore. He's leaving on the 1st of August. Four days from now. It would be very nice sharing our exchange experiences since I'll be living with his family.
